The Mothership Has Landed

My two favorite things to do on SecondLife is shopping and exploring. Even better when I can do both at once. I don't have the patience to build, and really admire some of the artistic and creative places I've stumbled across. Below is another fine example.

This is Greenies Club G, and close up it looks like your basic glowy dance floor with a live DJ and flashy neon lights.
But when I zoomed out, I found the dance floor is actually an opened compartment door from an old stereo system...
And the stereo is inside a house!
The time spent on detail is amazing, and I quickly discovered the club was only a small percentage as my focus drifted around the parcel.
There is a race track set up along the dining/kitchen floor area - resembling life-sized Hot Wheels! Too cute.
I really enjoyed the cat, and fortunately there were a couple avatars over there so I could show a good scale. The little green thing is an alien, and I found many more in various places around the house.
Even the detail inside the cupboards was amazing! Here we have an alien tripping the mouse trap for the hungry critter watching nearby.
The room itself is actually about 300m wide, and worth a visit back some day.

While I snapped pictures, a DJ by the name of Glitchfxxx Monitor played some "alien-like" dubstep tunes, to complete the ambiance of an alien invasion. I'm not sure when the events are, but I'm sure the aliens will be here any time you'd like to see for yourself.

'Till next time,
Pers

Coming soon...

I have new plans for this blog. I intend to take pictures of my inventory, mainly the clothing, to assist in finding things to wear in the massive mess... and yes, it is a mess. I still need to open boxes and rearrange things first. But right now, I'm too wrapped up in these hunts... So, coming soon... my inventory, eventually...

I've badly neglected my blog... not surprising of me... preparing for a revamp or something soon... neglected but not forgotten. ♥

MST3K on SL!

I'm definitely addicted to hunts, and blame them for my lack of updates. Anyways, I found this awesome little gem at The Hatter is Mad while bouncing around the Through the Looking Glass Hunt. If you know the show, you'll love this. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, you're in luck. I have more random pictures.

I highly recommend attaching boxes to your HUD to open in non-rez locations. It works just the same, and saves you from the embarassing box-dance from your AO. So glad this doesn't happen in RL, or we'd have lawsuits everywhere from people being knocked out by a giant box.

This was on a billboard at Salamander's Paradise and it made me laugh. Seriously, bling should be banned.

I braved the lag and attempted the scavenger hunt at Urban Dare last weekend. I only found 19 of 36 items, partly because I was distracted by the amazing sim. Giant balls of yarn in a neko playground - can you blame me for getting distracted?

Making up for lost time

So I've been preoccupied... but before I could drift away from my blog completely I made sure to go out exploring and took three pictures of my travels...

First up is Black Pearl Pleasure Beach with Amusement Park - way fun. Try the ride in mouselook - nausea at its finest!

This is a picture at Chi, a gorgeous beach and island oasis. The sim is such a relaxing state of ambiance, living up to its name.

And lastly is Misty Shores "Renacer", a sculpti garden. Each piece of art comes with a description or the story of its inspiration. It's like an outdoor art museum best walked at sunset. Really, just go.

Another sight to see

I've been proccupied with the VIP hunt going on, but managed to take a break in my busy day to revisit one of my favorite little hideaways. This waterfall runs beside Gransy Fashion and while I'm not sure how 'public' it is, I figure it's not restricted so it's fair game...
